Helene Segara is a French singer and actress who is best known for her collaboration with the French pop duo, Elsa & Elisa. She has released several solo albums and is also known for her appearances in musicals such as Notre Dame de Paris, Roméo et Juliette, and Mozart l’opéra rock.
Segara was born in February 1971 in Six-Fours-les-Plages, Var, a commune in the south of France. She began her career as a backing vocalist and dancer for various artists such as Patrick Fiori and Marc Lavoine. She later became the frontwoman of the duo Elsa & Elisa, with whom she released the hit single “Avec le temps” in 1997.
Segara went on to pursue a solo career, releasing her debut album Cœur de verre in 2000. The album was a commercial success, reaching number four on the French Albums Chart. She followed it up with Humaine in 2003, which was a moderate success and included the hit single “On n’oublie jamais rien, on vit avec”.
Segara also had a successful career in theater and television. She starred in the 1998 musical Notre Dame de Paris and its film adaptation in 2002. She also appeared in the musicals Roméo et Juliette and Mozart l’opéra rock. She has made several television appearances, including in the show Les Enfants de la télé and the miniseries La taupe.
Segara has been nominated for several awards, including a NRJ Music Award, a Victoires de la Musique Award, and a MTV Europe Music Award. She has released six studio albums and is still actively performing and recording music.
